IN PRACTICE Affirmations should 'fit' for you personally, in my opinion and experience. However for those of you that have never experienced or put something like this into practice [yet] here are some examples or suggestions that you might approach and apply until you find just the right 'fit' for you.
I would highly suggest that you first spend a bit of time to discover / uncover which of the Chakras are looking for the MOST attention and work there before moving on to another. If you find it challenging to understand this or if you aren't quite at a point in your spiritual development and need an even easier place to start, I might suggest you Begin at the BASE - The Root Chakra and then from there work your way UP the 7 Chakras listed, spending time with each of them [perhaps a week or more] allowing the shift to take place, while you open up and engage the flow of new, positive, Light, Love and Energy to the Chakra and all that it represents and does for us as a Being on All Levels of the Mind and Body.
If however you are able to truly Listen and Receive the Message and/or Direction from a Chakra it self, then by all means Begin there, take your time, and with the use of the Affirmations provided, Begin a Practice using them to Open, Expand and Further Develop not only the Chakra it self but allow for more of it's Soul & Personality to shine through and be noticed. Once you feel that the shift has occurred, the work is done [for now], then feel free to Begin again by either sitting with your Self, Listening, Uncovering and/or Discovering where you need to focus your attention next and approach the next Chakra and Affirmation as before or in whatever fashion 'fits' for you.
For those of you that are unfamiliar with the actual Practice of using Affirmations and would like a suggestion or two here are a couple that I use and recommend to clients -
1. You can Begin & End each day with a little quiet time, being mindful and purposeful with your breath and once you settle into a peaceful state, simply recite the chosen [right] Affirmation ONE TIME with a knowingness that you are not only planting the seed but expecting it to grow! When we do this we are creating an imprint in our subconscious mind for our conscious mind to draw from and we are also telling with instruction to all levels of the mind that we not only believe this to be true but because of the imprint it manifests a picture, an event of it having already taken place so it offers us a familiarity. This allows us to go there and put it on so to speak, therefore creating the new habit, pattern and/or way of being so that our energy settles in and accepts this new or returned way of being.
2. You can recite the Affirmation while tapping on the sequence of Release Points [EFT] which you can find here on the PATHWAYS PAGE ~ thehousecalltherapist.com/pathways.html . Either moving along the points while reciting the Affirmation or repeating the Affirmation at each of the Release Points and being sure to relax and breathe into the practice whenever you feel the need or want.
3. Placing the palm of your hands onto of your head [Crown Chakra] and center of chest [Heart Chakra] close your eyes and take in a nice, slow, deliberate breath, recite the Affirmation with a smile and then release it as though you know it is being placed there, accepted and when you are ready, remove your hands and let it all go.
