It is this quote that has brought me to write this quick EFT 'Emotional Freedom Technique' Session because there have been numerous conversations with regards to this very thing over many months now. Some get the concept while others haven't quite been able to grasp it and then there are those that are working to come over to the concept but haven't quite figured out how to yet. So this is where this exercise comes into play to help guide you to allowing your self to release the hold that you have so that you CAN begin to open up and accept, even the possibility of accepting things as they are, if not completely shifting your energy and belief system to a full on acceptance of the concept.

Taking a nice, slow, deep breath, then look at and repeat the above quote so that it is fresh within your Subconscious and Conscious Minds. Repeat it as many times as you feel the need or want. Now ...
Tapping on the KARATE CHOP POINT, repeat the follow, out loud is best but if for some reason you find this challenging, no worries, while saying it inside your mind, allow your throat to vibrate with a humming to the words to help stimulate your Throat Chakra which is YOUR VOICE & EXPRESSION ...

'Even though this concept of accepting things as they are to create a feeling and comfort of freedom seems stupid and unreal, useless and wrong to me ... I love and accept my self as well as my thoughts and feelings'

IE - 'I don't believe this statement of accepting things as they are'
OE - 'It just doesn't make sense to me'
UE - 'In fact it feels almost like a lie'
UN - 'And I don't like it'
Chin - 'Accept things as they are ... WHAT EVER!'
CB - 'It is what it is ... how foolish to think that'
UA - 'That we have no control over what is and that we should simply accept it'
RC - 'I don't feel it. It just doesn't make sense to me. I need more than this'
IE - 'Why would I find freedom in this statement anyway?'
OE - 'What will accepting this do for me?'
UE - 'How will it change things?'
UN - 'What will it change and why?'
Chin - 'What if I don't like the change?'
CB - 'What if the change is uncomfortable for me personally?'
UA - 'Will this create a sense of not having control over things?'
RC - 'What if I'm afraid to give in to this statement ... to believe this statement?'
IE - 'I'm afraid'
OE - 'I'm not sure that this is right for me'
UE - 'I feel uncomfortable with this change'
UN - 'It actually scares me'
Chin - 'I'm afraid'
CB - 'I feel a bit nervous about this'
UA - 'It's such a huge difference ... such a huge change'
RC - 'It's just scary to me'
TH & HC - 'Even though I don't quite understand this notion of accepting things as they are, this thought of It Is What It Is, and it feels a bit uncomfortable to me, even a bit scary ... I choose to be open and receptive to this new thought process so that I can see, sense and feel, literally experience all the possibilities that it will bring my way and into my life and existence. I CHOOSE TO KNOW THE FREEDOM IT BRINGS'
Take a moment, perhaps a nice, slow, deep breath or two and allow your thoughts to surface and settle. Notice what they are and allow them to be there with you. They don't have to make sense or have any significant meaning to them but they are there for a reason so please give them the attention that they desire and ask for ... whatever they are. It would be a wonderful idea to jot them down so that you can play with them, extend this session to a deeper level to reach YOUR PERSONAL INSIGHTS that come from what we have done so far.

'Freedom is instantaneous the moment we accept things as they are ... so I choose to do just that, accept things as they are and understand that it is my choice therefore I am bringing this Freedom to my Life and Self'
'It Is What It Is ... is something that I can now wrap my head around so that I can know this Freedom'
'I choose to know and understand the Freedom and Peace that accepting things as they are brings and I do it now with ease and comfort'
Tapping on THE INDIVIDUAL POINTS
IE - 'I am safe'
OE - 'I am comfortable'
UE - 'I choose this change'
UN - 'I want this change and therefore I accept this shift in energy to accept this change'
Chin - 'I feel completely at ease with this acceptance'
CB - 'What Is ... Is and I'm good with that ... In fact I like it'
UA - 'I welcome the Freedom that this change offers'
RC - 'I feel completely safe'
TH & HC - 'I bring a renewed sense of Freedom and Safety to My Self as I choose to accept the fact that It Is What It Is and I Accept Things As They Are ... knowing and understanding that this is done with ease and comfort as I release the past which held a different energy and thought in place for me ... I now choose this change freely and openly as I look forward to all the new possibilities to be seen, felt, sensed and experienced with different eyes and a different heart and mind set.'
Take a moment to sit with your experience and allow whatever is there to surface and speak to you. Breathe into whatever messages, images, etc. arise and simply allow them to be there in a relaxed and peaceful moment. Jot down whatever comes to you about this experience so that you can look back at it and also so that you can take the information and dig deeper into this session speaking to YOUR PERSONAL 'stuff' that surfaces and asked to be paid attention to.
